Dushayant Dhar, Head of Sales & Customer Success
If you’re a Jonas Leisure customer you’ve probably spoken to Dushayant Dhar at some point.
The hard-working Sydneysider has been our Head of Sales & Customer Success since the start of 2021 but he’s perhaps best known for his years adding value to clients’ businesses and resolving customer problems while leading our Customer Success team.
We caught up with Dushayant to find out what he enjoys about his work and to hear about his newfound love of trail running and smartphone photography and videography.
I am currently Head of Sales & Customer Success. I love the challenge and the variety the role comes with. No two days are the same. I really enjoy the adrenaline of growing and onboarding new customers as well as driving value with our existing customer base.
How long have you been in the role, and what did you do beforehand?
Believe it or not, I have only been in this role for nine months! Prior to that I was looking after the Customer Success division of Jonas Leisure.
The best part of my role is that no two days are the same. My typical working day could involve focussing on new acquisitions, tenders, pricing strategy and marketing plans in the morning and then sales and addressing anything that requires attention – either within the business or with a client – in the afternoon.
The best part for me is the regular account catch ups I have with clients, where I get to work with and hear from some of the most dedicated and passionate professionals in the industry.
I’m based in Sydney where I’m currently working from home during lockdown. I’ve taken over my son’s bedroom for work in the mornings and in the afternoon I usually work from my patio. Outside of lockdown I’m usually based in Jonas Leisure’s Macquarie Park office.
Trail running is my favourite “me time” activity. I also enjoy trail bike riding with my kids and I’ve recently taken up mobile video and photography.
I am originally from the beautiful Island of Fiji. I grew up in the capital city of Fiji, Suva, and decided to make Australia home after university. I am part of the fifth generation of Indians originally brought to Fiji under the CSR Indenture System.
I have always wanted to visit India. It’s a country I am so fascinated by – rich in culture, food and spirituality.
