Humans of Jonas Leisure: Hannah Donohoe

As a Professional Services Consultant and Head Trainer, Hannah Donohoe loves working alongside people – and her puppy pal Hector – adding value and flexing her creative muscles wherever she can. When Hannah is not at her desk, she is likely enjoying the outdoors, riding her mountain bike or camping with Hector and her partner Hugh.

What is your role at Jonas Leisure?

Professional Services Consultant/Head Trainer.

How long have you been in this role, and what did you do beforehand?

I’ve been with Jonas Leisure nearly two years now.

Can you describe what you do in a typical workday?

Each morning I check in with my current projects – customers transitioning to Jonas Leisure software – and complete appropriate tasks. This consists of holding training sessions, Q&A sessions, business consulting sessions, user acceptance testing (UAT) support, and go live support.

I am one of the voices behind our groovy new eLearning training materials. So if I am not spending time with my projects, I am busy creating eLearning content such as video recordings, quizzes and supporting documentation.

What do you like most about your role?

The people. I get to work alongside some very cool people both in project – customers – and also within Jonas Leisure. I learn a lot from these people every day and I do my best to return the favour and add value everywhere I can. I also love the creativity that my role allows for.

Where are you based, and what is your office like?

I am based in Riddells Creek, about 45 minutes from Melbourne. Visually my home office is relatively boring but has a fun vibe, as my second in command is a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy called Hector.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Hanging out with Hector, the coolest pup. Mountain biking. Camping. Enjoying the outdoors – when it’s not too cold!

What is your favourite music? What do you have playing in your car right now?

I love country music. It is in my bones, as I grew up in Western Queensland.

If you could go on holiday to one country once the COVID-19 pandemic is under control, where would you go?

I am heading to New Zealand with my partner Hugh for our honeymoon, where we are planning on hiring a camper and making our way around, exploring and mountain biking.

What are your recreation go-to’s? Do you enjoy swimming, sports, the outdoors etc?

Staying active with my partner – running, training, mountain biking.
