It’s all about the people for Bryn. The Jonas Leisure Sales Manager loves working in such a human-filled environment, where he gets to interact with people all day. When he isn’t around his colleagues, his dogs will do just fine, too. Outside of work, his tastes are eclectic – from sport and music, to a touch of gardening. And once the pandemic is over, a trip to the beautiful but little-known Channel Islands in the UK might be on the cards.
I work in the Sales Team.
I’ve been in this job for 15 years. Previously, I have worked in various general manager/sales roles for the IT and training service industries.
Communication with current and potential customers, industry experts and the rest of the Jonas Leisure team, mostly on the phone, conference calls and emails. Occasionally, I get to attend industry events – a rare treat in these COVID-19 times.
Meeting people – I always say that while working in IT. I’m part of a people-focused industry, and I love that.
We are based in Sydney. While we have great offices and I enjoy being with the team there, I have a nice office at home where I work most days in the company of Harold and George, our dogs.
Spending time with family and friends, watching sport (mainly AFL and cricket), tending to my garden, and the occasional round of golf.
I have a very broad music taste, from the Beatles to AC/DC. Those who work with me know that my ringtone is Thunderstruck.
Guernsey (UK), or more likely New Zealand, which I really do love visiting, whether for work or play.
These days it’s mostly walking. I do get some weight sessions in, but it really should be more.
