Fast Five with Danielle Campbell

Our Jonas Leisure professional services consultant Danielle Campbell is one of the first faces many users see when introducing Envibe at their leisure centres.

She’s the wonder women behind the workshops new customers take part in when setting up Envibe and she designs and runs a lot of the training their staff receive during the onboarding process.

For this month’s fast five we caught up with Danielle to find out what she enjoys about her job, what makes the perfect training session or workshop, and what she likes to do around Perth when she’s off the clock.

What is your role with Jonas Leisure and what do you do on a daily basis?

I am a Professional Services Consultant here at Jonas Leisure. I’m primarily working with our Envibe system and I get to spend a lot of time with our new clients helping them configure the system to make sure it is working in the best way possible for their business and ensure their staff can use the system efficiently and easily. I also often assist them with reviewing any internal business processes before we introduce Envibe at their sites.

Once this hard work is done, it’s time for the best part which is launching the new software to their leisure and customers. Seeing businesses take that next step with our software to enhance their business is incredible.

When I’m not talking client’s ears off in training calls, I also spend a lot of time working on making our training sessions and resources better and taking on the feedback of our clients to improve our delivery for future sessions.

I also assist the Sales Team with sales demonstrations to show the best of our product, as well as our Support Team to help our current customers and ensure our longstanding clients are always getting the most out of our software. When we launch new enhancements – which is quite often these days – I will help our current clients implement them into their daily workings. As you can tell we are very collaborative here at Jonas Leisure!

What are the secrets to the perfect training session or workshop?

Relationships! Yes, we are ensuring you get the most out of the product and our time together in training calls but this doesn’t happen without effective, clear communication and without our clients being open about their thoughts and pain points throughout a project.

Before working with Jonas Leisure I was in a customer facing role in the leisure industry and that has definitely helped me when engaging with clients, understanding their challenges and building a trusting relationship. I also think it’s important to enjoy yourself during training sessions and workshops. If we didn’t have a bit of fun and banter it would be a long, boring training session for everyone involved. The training sessions are made easier when we have amazing products to work through with our clients.

What are some of the most common industry challenges you’re hearing about?

Staffing is a big one for everyone, everywhere at the moment. Another one is effective customer engagement – with all the competition in the market staying connected to your customers and retaining them them is so important.

With a mix of great staff, an easy-to-use Customer Web Portal for customers to use in the comfort of their homes and powerful communications from your leisure centre to keep your customers up to date, this is achievable!

What do you most enjoy doing when you’re not at work?

If I’m not trying out the latest restaurant, bar or café in Perth, I love Reformer Pilates and am always looking for the newest studio to try out a different workout. I also enjoy the beautiful Western Australia coast when I can get out in our lovely summer weather.

What Netflix series are you watching at the moment?

I just finished Break Point – I’m a big sport fan and love a Netflix doco! But feel free to talk to me about everything MAFS or Love Island as well (guilty pleasure!).
