In this month’s Fast Five, we discover what she enjoys most about working in the leisure and recreation industry, get her top tip on creating engaging trigger messages using Envibe, and find out how she keeps herself happy and motivated over winter.

What do you enjoy most about working for a software company in the leisure and recreation industry?

Previously I’ve worked in various management roles throughout the leisure industry where I developed a passion for making people feel good by helping them access health and wellness activities. Since moving into the software realm,I now really enjoy helping people delivering leisure and recreation experiences to create more time and space in their day-to-day roles by using Envibe. Saving time on admin and organisation means they they can focus on the more positive and fun aspects of their jobs.

How much of a difference can engaging communications make for leisure businesses?

I believe effective and engaging communications enhance the overall customer experience and lead to a range of positive benefits for businesses. Informative and well-tailored communications build strong relationships with members, which in turn can lead customer loyalty and satisfaction, growth in membership numbers, and improved member retention. and lead to increased growth and customer retention.

What are your top tips for creating engaging trigger messages?

Keep them short and effective. Always consider the action you want to drive the customer to do and how to make it easy for them to achieve it. For example, if you send a reminder to a customer to update their credit or debit card that’s about to expire, make sure you add a direct link to our online portal member dashboard so they can do it easily.

If you’re just beginning your journey with scheduled trigger emails, it’s best to start with the basics of what you want to achieve and build from there. Think about what you want members to do at each stage of the process and use clear, concise and effective communication to trigger them to do so.

What are your recreation go-tos during the winter months?

I’ve recently got a puppy and live close to the beach, so my winter routine is to jump out of bed and take my dog for an early morning walk along the beach. There is something magic about getting up early, it sets my day up for success. I also enjoy going to regular yoga classes and the occasional swim at my local pool.
