Meet our team: Sheena Sadlier

Development Operations Coordinator Sheena Sadlier is a problem solver. She enjoys coming up with solutions for clients to make sure Jonas Leisure software works seamlessly for them. We find out what she likes to do when she is not solving problems from her home office by St Kilda beach.

How long have you been in this role?

One and a half years, but six years with Jonas Leisure.

How did you get into this role?

I started as a Professional Services Consultant and became a product champion of Envibe and then organically moved into the Development Coordinator role.

Can you describe what you do in a typical workday?

I work with the support team to identify gaps in the product and if issues need to be escalated that is where I raise this with the development team. I also work one-on-one with clients on issues they are having and identify if these issues need further development or alternatively if I can offer a different solution, i.e. change process.

What do you like most about your role?

Fixing problems – I like to walk away having given a solution.

Where are you based, and what is your office like?

Melbourne – so working from home and have continued to work from home. I have the beach in St Kilda on my doorstep.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

When I have time outside of work and having a young family, I swim and do yoga. I have grown up in the industry starting as a lifeguard in 2001. Since then, studying a Degree in Recreation and Business Management then travelling to Australia from Ireland back in 2009 and working in a private leisure centre for six years, before moving into the field of leisure management software with Jonas Leisure!

What are your recreation go-to’s?

Swimming, yoga and generally being outdoors and staying active.
