Jonas Leisure’s marketing and communications recognised as industry’s best

Jonas Leisure’s communications and marketing activities have been recognised with the Industry Supplier Award in the 2018 Leisure Industry Communication and Marketing Awards.

The Awards are presented by Australasian Leisure Management magazine and recognise how the leisure industry in Australia and New Zealand communicates, entertains, enriches and improves quality of life, as well as how it engages with consumers to generate business success and deal with scrutiny.

Jonas Leisure Chief Executive Mike Henton said it was humbling to receive an award that acknowledges the effort staff across the organisation put into communicating effectively with customers and industry.

“Engaging with industry and encouraging two-way conversations with customers play a vital role in driving the innovation behind everything we do. It’s a great feeling to have this recognised by a publication like Australasian Leisure Management, which is so well regarded in our industry.”

Jonas Leisure brands include Envibe, Centaman, Gladstone, Udio, Centaman Entrance Control, CAP2, MyMemberSales and The Retention People. Mr Henton said it was fantastic that the award recognised more than just Jonas Leisure’s marketing of its products and communication with customers, but also its backing of a range of professional development initiatives in the leisure industry.

Australasian Leisure Management Publisher Nigel Benton said Jonas Leisure’s communications with clients, stakeholders and the wider industry was “remarkable”.

“Catering to a wide range of leisure industry sectors and with price points applicable to both multi- and single-site facility operators, Jonas Leisure’s technological innovations are matched by its excellence communicating and connecting with consumers, clients and stakeholders across all media.

“This includes blogs on its various products; the engagement of specialist public relations agency Last Word for its media relations; masterclass events for clients and support for industry initiatives including Australian Leisure Facilities Association Queensland Awards and the Aquatic and Recreation Institute (ARI) Mentor Program.”

Mr Benton said 2018 Leisure Industry Communication and Marketing Awards recognised excellence among individuals, organisations, businesses and government.

“When done well, marketing and communications build a brand’s reputation and add to the bottom line of any business.

“The awards recognise a cross section of activities from international businesses to start-ups, industry icons and national organisations to small operators, showing that effective communications and marketing is not just for big operators, and is more about a commitment to sharing what an organisation excels at.”
